Thirty-three percent of Americans are presently working more than 40 hours a week. Only 31 percent of Americans are actually working a traditional 40-hour week, and 11 percent are putting in more than 50 hours weekly. 34 percent of Americans are working fewer than 40 hours weekly, with six percent putting in fewer than 20 hours a week. “Only half of adults are now happy with the hours they work,” reported Rasmussen.
