Seven of the top 15 cities considered by RealtyTrac to be among the top 15 “retirement hot spots” in Florida. In order to be a hot spot, at least one-third of the population in the city had to be age 65 years or older, and cities were ranked based on strong annual price growth. Dunnellon, Florida was ranked first, with Naples, Florida, coming in second. North Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, Sun City Center, Venice, and Orange City also made the list[1].
